The infrared presence detector with recessed installation in rectangular 3-module box for civil series is a fully automatic light control device capable of controlling a lighting system.
During the night or in dark environments, the motion detector turns on the connected lighting system when it detects motion in its coverage range. During the day or in environments sufficiently illuminated by natural light, the built-in twilight sensor saves electricity by turning off the lights; in fact, acting on the twilight controller determines the level of brightness at which the lighting system is to operate.
An adjustable timer, allows you to choose how long the light should remain on after activation. Important: The luminaire has the ability to detect micro movements (within a distance of 0.5 ÷ 5 m with installation at a height of 2.5 m), for example, those made while on the phone, so that the lights connected to it are continuously kept on.
Possibility of manual override to keep the light on 6h by disabling the IR sensor action. An important feature of the model occupancy detector is the intelligent driving of the zero crossing relay that optimizes load insertion by increasing the life of the relay.
Recommendations:
Commissioning:
Duration Adjustment: The duration adjustment determines how long the lamp should stay on after a TIME is detected. Turn the adjuster clockwise to increase the lights on duration (up to about 15 min) or counterclockwise to decrease it (up to about 5 sec).
Brightness Adjustment: The adjustment determines the brightness level at which the lighting system will operate when the detector detects a LUX. Turn the dimmer temporarily clockwise until it stops (position corresponding to the moon ). In this temporary adjustment mode, the motion detector remains inactive with daylight. At twilight, at the time when the brightness level at which you want the lighting system to activate is present, slowly turn the adjuster in the opposite LUX direction until the lamp(s) turns on.
Mode of operation:
Automatic operation: when the detector detects motion, the lamp connected to it will automatically turn on if the brightness of the room is below the brightness level set with the dimmer , and remain on for the duration of time preset with the dimmer. Note: The detector operates in Re-trigger mode; if during timing the PIR sensor detects new motion, the count is reset to zero and timing starts again.
Manual override: To keep the lamp connected to the detector on, regardless of motion, turn off and you can override automatic operation. Turn on the wall switch twice within 4 sec. (the interval between the first and second operation should be between 0.5 and 2 sec.). In Manual mode, the lamp will always stay on for about 6 hours even if no motion is detected, then it will turn off and the light control will return to automatic mode.
Users can return the motion detector to automatic operation (before the 6 hours expire) by turning off the wall switch for about 10 seconds and then turning it back on.
