Type 2 protectors are suitable for installation at the system origin, in intermediate switchboards and near terminal equipment and protect against indirect lightning strikes.

 

SPD Type 2 surge protective devices protect low-voltage consumer systems against overvoltages because they are tested as SPD Type 2 according to IEC 61643-11. The devices are compatible with the System pro M compact series. SPDs with "TS" are optionally equipped with an auxiliary contact.
