Overview:

LSPD (Surge Protection System) is MOV (Metal Oxside Varistor) varistor type, it allows to limit the value of overvoltage to standardized levels. its installation should be done in parallel with DC line. Each device consists of an auxiliary contact that indicates the tripping of the same, so that signaling can be remote. They are available in three operating voltage levels 500/800/100VDC for different types of applications from simple residential, with photovoltaic system of a few kW, to power generation systems of hundreds of kW. to best safeguard the equipment, it is recommended to install more than one device in the DC side if the electrical lines connecting field strings and inverters are very long.
