The 5-mm thermosensitive bulb goes into operation once the predetermined temperature is reached, causing the glass to break and the water passage channel to open. The jet is directed against the upper deflecting washer, which distributes it parabolically downward, creating a cone-shaped cover capable of extinguishing the fire in the critical area.
Both the abbreviation SU (Sprinkler Upright) and the activation temperature are engraved on the deflector washer for easy identification even when the system is installed.
