Residual current device, which means that its main function is to detect and interrupt any current leakage, protecting people from electric shock. However, it does not include a circuit breaker, so it must be flanked by a circuit breaker or fuses for protection against overcurrents and short circuits.
As a type A device, it is designed to detect both alternating sine and pulsating unidirectional leakage currents, responding quickly even to gradually increasing fault currents. This feature makes it particularly suitable for installations with electronic equipment, such as household appliances and industrial devices.
The residual current circuit breaker has compact dimensions and is easily installed on a DIN rail, occupying four modules. It has screw terminals with a tightening torque of 2.8 Nm and a cable stripping length of 12 mm, ensuring a secure and reliable fixing.
Built to operate in environments with temperatures ranging from -25 to +55 degrees, it offers excellent durability, with an electrical life of 1,000 cycles. Its ability to withstand voltages up to 500 V and an impulse withstand voltage of 4 kV makes it suitable for both domestic and industrial electrical systems.
