Unique smoke chamber that is dust-resistant and impenetrable to insects, a dual-spectrum optical sensor, and HazeFlow 2 software algorithm ensure the speed and accuracy of fire detection - maximum safety with no stress on false alarms.

Impervious to insects and dust

The smoke chamber is designed with zero chance of contamination affecting detection. A unique air circulation mechanism provides the optical sensor with a zone to quickly and unobstructedly identify volatile combustion products.

Ignores smoke and water vapor

The smoke chamber is wired with a dual-spectrum optical sensor that has blue and infrared LEDs with different wavelengths. It uses the most reliable real-time detection method by directly measuring the concentration of microparticles in the air. This technology allows FireProtect2 to determine the size of particles inside the chamber and respond only to smoke, ignoring vapor and condensation.

Only real threats considered

Extensive research on material combustion led to HazeFlow 2, a smoke detection algorithm developed by Ajax. The algorithm simultaneously analyzes and compares dual-spectrum optical sensor data with a specific model to define vapor smoke. The detector immediately issues an alarm when the dynamics of the model indicate a real case of fire.

Even in the case of a smokeless fire

FireProtect 2 is equipped with two Class A1R thermistors to detect the threats of a smokeless fire. They offer a significant advantage in detecting a rapid temperature rise when synthetics burn or a fire starts from combustion. The thermistors are located outside the cover to eliminate detection delays without wasting valuable time. So FireProtect 2 is ready to detect a fire as quickly as possible, even if it starts imperceptibly.
