The Siemens 5SM2 Earth Leakage add-on Block is the ideal solution for ensuring protection against direct and indirect contacts, leakage and fault currents in civil and industrial electrical systems. The selective function prevents untimely trips in the event of a downstream fault, improving service continuity.
With a rated differential current of 1000 mA, the device is designed for applications in environments where general or selective protection is required, such as in main switchboards or in electrical systems with multiple levels of protection. Its high impulse resistance and overvoltage category III make it suitable for environments subject to electrical disturbances.
The block is compatible with 5SY series circuit breakers, to be installed on the left side. It is designed for DIN switchboard with flush-mounted modules according to DIN 43880, and allows supply from above or below. It is recommended for use in switchboards with high loads or selective disconnections.
