Curtain Outdoor Jeweller is a motion detector for covering the perimeter of a facility with exceptional accuracy and near-zero probability of false alarms. Equipped with a unique optical system, the device observes narrow sectors up to 12 m in length. Dual motion detection technology with two PIR sensors and a K-band microwave sensor enables filtering out false alarms caused by thermal noise, animals or plants. Detection range and pet immunity mode are configured via a slider on the detector housing, while sensitivity is configured in Ajax apps to meet the specific needs of the installation. Preinstalled batteries ensure stable performance for up to three years.
Curtain Outdoor Jeweller operates in two modes: normal and with pet immunity enabled. In normal mode, any movement within the covered area triggers the alarm. Pet immunity mode is designed to ignore the movement of animals up to 100 cm tall and minimize false alarms.
The device offers a detection range of up to 12 m, but this can be adjusted to suit the peculiarities of a facility. For example, the radius can be set so that the detector covers doors and windows but ignores high-traffic areas such as a walkway. Detection sensitivity levels are also essential to limit unnecessary patrol interventions. Set sensitivity to low in areas prone to false alarms, to medium for most installations, and to high in unobstructed areas where immediate threat detection is critical.
Curtain Outdoor Jeweller is equipped with two PIR sensors to ensure accurate motion detection. The detector will not respond to motion if a single sensor is activated. When both sensors detect motion, proprietary digital algorithms come into play. In a split second, they perform a three-step signal analysis, filter out natural obstacles or animals, and decide whether to raise an alarm.
The K-band microwave sensor verifies alarms triggered by PIR sensors. It performs a radio wave scan of an area to minimize false alarms caused by thermal interference. Unlike conventional X-band sensors, the K-band sensor offers superior accuracy and energy efficiency, with significantly fewer false alarms and an almost imperceptible impact on battery life. In addition, the sensor is completely safe and poses no health threat.
When the system is plugged in, the detector constantly analyzes the thermal pattern of the PIR sensor, including IR radiation intensity, heat spot size, movement speed, time spent in the detection zone, and other parameters. The SmartDetect software algorithm identifies false alarm indications instantly and with high accuracy. As a result, the detector accurately responds to human motion without false alarms.
Temperature compensation is a software mechanism that maintains the contrast of the thermal diagram even if the ambient temperature is similar to human body temperature. Each time the ambient temperature is measured, the detector corrects the PIR sensor data according to the coefficient table in its memory. The device is effective over the entire operating temperature range.
Curtain Outdoor Jeweller has sensitivity settings in the app. Low sensitivity makes the detector less likely to respond to interference, while high sensitivity ensures that an alarm is triggered if there is any movement in the detection zone. Set the sensitivity level you need to avoid costly patrols for false alarms.
With proper installation, the detector works with great accuracy. The device must be perpendicular to ground level, while the potential path of an intruder must be perpendicular to the axis of the detector lens. When configured with the correct operating mode, sensitivity and detection range, Curtain Outdoor Jeweller responds instantly to real threats and generates almost no false alarms.
