Multi-purpose 1 input/1 output module Elkron IO500 can perform the function of output module (MU), input for stable dry contacts (LI) or input for pulse contacts (PI).
It allows connecting conventional dry contact (NC/NA) detectors, probes or other devices (license plates, electromagnetic stops, sirens, etc.).

The IO500 multipurpose module with microprocessor and short-circuit isolator is a programmable device that can be configured as:
Some optional functions related to the selected operation mode can be enabled on the module; programming can be performed directly through ELKRON FAP series control panels.
The factory configuration of the multipurpose module is set as actuator mode 0. IO500 automatically stores, in its nonvolatile memory, the thirty previous and 30 subsequent measurements to an alarm condition. These measurements can be displayed, in graphical or textual form, on the central unit's display. This feature is very important for retrospectively analyzing the condition of the module before and after the alarm condition has been detected.
On the module, in addition to the free contact output (relay), there is a controlled output and an input for external power supply. With the external power supply connected, the controlled output has a maximum current rating of 0.75A@30V; without external power supply, the output assumes the functionality of an alarm repetition output and is limited to 15mA@18V. The two-color LED, under operating conditions, indicates the module status while, in service mode, it can be used to display the module address via a specific function activated by the control panel.
