Thanks to the auto-sensing algorithm, there is no risk of damaging PoE equipment with different standards; it also inhibits PoE port power if no devices are connected. Through the Watchdog function, the switch leverages and replenishes PoE power on the affected port if it detects no more network traffic.

 

If the EXTEND dip-switch is ON then the switch allows connection and power supply to devices (cameras) connected to PoE ports up to a distance of 250m. In addition, the device does not route packets between PoE ports in order to speed up routing to and from Uplink ports; in this case an NVR needs to be connected only to Uplink ports in order to see cameras connected on PoE ports.
