The linear reflection smoke detector is an addressed device for 500 series digital control panels.It is particularly suitable for meeting applications in the tertiary field and in special environments, such as museums, churches, and historical buildings.

 

The detector contains both transmitting (Tx) and receiving (Rx) sections of the infrared signal; its operating principle is based on the interaction between the smoke present in an environment generated by a fire start and an infrared beam emitted and reflected by a special optical reflector.

 

The device has three LED indicators and two 7-segment displays for notification of information to the installer; on the detector board are connection terminals to the detection line and connection terminals for the remote alarm repeater. Detector configuration can be defined by a series of microswitches or directly at the control panel.
