Elofit high-density polyethylene fittings use, predominantly, the technology and method of joining through the process of electrofusion. This welding process requires that inside the 'electrofusion fittings are housed electrical resistors connected to the outside by two lugs.
By connecting to the two ends of the resistor a welding machine capable of supplying energy to the fitting, a certain voltage is created in a set time. The resistor converts the received current into heat so that the polyethylene of the pipe with that of the fitting fuse into a monolithic system. After cooling, a homogeneous, robust, safe and reliable connection is then obtained over time.
ELOFIT is a system of electrofusion-weldable high-density polyethylene fittings and special pieces for transporting pressurized water and pressurized fluids in general.
