Single-pipe thermostat valves allow manual, thermostatic or electrothermal regulation. The presence of the separate lockshield allows perfect balancing of the system and partial by-pass flow rate as well as allowing the valve to be closed for possible replacement. The valve is reversible in that it is possible to connect the piping without knowing whether it is forward or return.
