Can be coupled with the magnetothermal circuit breakers of the S 200 L, S 200, S 200 M, S 200 P series to realize the magnetothermal differential protection function.
It is possible to couple the DDA 200 with the magnetic-only circuit breakers of the M 200 series, in which case additional thermal type protection must be provided for overload current protection.

The differential blocks are mechanically designed to prevent mismating between the block and the circuit breaker: the rating of the block must always be equal to or greater than that of the circuit breaker. The plastic clamp on the side allows faster mounting of the block on the circuit breaker, and a push-button prevents possible tripping.
It is used to protect human health in the event of a ground fault (electrical leakage) or phase-to-ground electrocution, thus also providing protection against macro electrical shock, both direct and indirect, on exposed persons.
Type B differential blocks were developed for the detection of fault currents with continuous waveform or high frequency.
