The contactor is a device for closing and opening electrical circuits, mostly high voltage, by remote control.
The standard CEI 17-3 defines a contactor (contactor) as a device capable of interrupting or establishing current within a circuit. To do this, the device opens and closes the contact channels between the system and the power supply structure. In short, a kind of switch to be used for every eventuality.
