NH aM fuses are used to protect motors, transformers and equipment with starting current. They only protect against short circuits and must be combined with overload protection devices. The NH/CP and NH/CP-S fuses have a striker that comes out when the fuse melts and can be used with a microswitch to signal the trip from a distance. The NH/CP fuses are to be used with open bases with microswitch already mounted on board (see page 102), while the NH/CP-S fuses are to be used in the LTS/K switch-disconnectors, to which the microswitch for remote signalling of the trip must be added.
