The minimum voltage coils protect the consumers in case of power failure or voltage drop between 70% and 35% of its nominal value. After tripping, it is possible to reset the coupled circuit breaker when the voltage is higher than 85% of the rated voltage.
The minimum voltage coil can be controlled by an emergency pushbutton to cut off the power supply in complete safety. It is mounted on the left side of the S800 breaker.
Auxiliary contacts are secondary switching devices that operate in conjunction with primary switching equipment such as circuit breakers, relays, and contactors. These contacts are physically connected to the main switching mechanism and are activated simultaneously.
What are they used for? Auxiliary contacts are used for various functions, e.g. self-holding, consent/block, signalling, interlocking.
This type of coilmakes it possible to create an emergency circuit with positive safety thanks to the opening of the circuit in the event of a power failure , either by pressing a button or by damaging the emergency circuit. This system combines the safety of the minimum voltage coil with the continuity of service of the current coil (in case of voltage dips or interruptions , when the power supply is restored the NO contacts close again without the need of an operator's intervention ).
