D-Link 8 Port 10/100/1K METALBOX DGS-108 Switch

The DGS 108 switch features environmentally friendly technology such as IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet (EEE), link status detection, and cable length detection. Energy-Efficient Ethernet reduces the switch's power consumption when network utilization is low, reducing the cost of ownership during idle periods. Link status detection automatically turns off ports when no link is detected, saving power when the connected device is turned off or disconnected. Cable length detection automatically adjusts port output power based on cable length, reducing switch power requirements to only what is needed for installation.

The DGS 108 switch includes traffic management functionality, such as IEEE 802.1p Quality of Service (QoS) and IEEE 802.3x Flow Control. The 802.1p QoS feature allows traffic to be classified into 8 priority levels, enabling different types of traffic to be prioritized according to their importance. Flow Control notifies clients when the switch's input buffer is full, helping to minimize lost packets and providing a more reliable connection for all connected devices.
