The PKD bootlace ferrule is designed to ensure a reliable and durable connection of multi-terminal flexible cables with screw terminals or terminal blocks. This type of terminal is essential in electrical installations where consumer units, circuit breakers, distribution boards and control panels are used, providing a secure and stable contact point over time.
Made of electrolytic copper of more than 99.95 percent purity, the tube undergoes a process of annealing and electrolytic tinning, which improves its malleability and resistance to mechanical stress. This results in easier and safer crimping, even in high-load applications.
The pre-insulated polyamide (PA6) jacket performs a dual function:
Insulates the connection point securely
Facilitates the insertion of the conductor due to the funnel shape
This special shape prevents fraying of the strands, guiding the wires inside the tube and reducing wiring time. In addition, the material is halogen-free, making it ideal for environments where fire safety is a priority.
The PKD bootlace ferrule is designed to operate over a wide temperature range:
Continuous operating temperature: -20 to +120 degrees
Maximum threshold for short periods: + 130 degrees
