The 3M QT-II 93-EB 63-1 terminal is a professional component designed to terminate single-pole Medium Voltage (MV) cables up to 24 kV indoors. The kit includes all the elements needed to carry out the termination of three single-pole phases, making it perfect for quick and safe installations in industrial plants, transformer substations and electrical distribution networks.
Thanks to 3M's exclusive Cold Shrink technology, the terminal comes pre-stretched on a spiral support and can be installed without heat or flame, increasing safety and reducing work time. This system is ideal for sensitive environments where the use of open flame is prohibited or discouraged. Simply slip off the coil and the self-shrinking silicone rubber body automatically adapts to the cable, ensuring a reliable and durable seal.
The insulator body is made of high-performance silicone rubber, providing mechanical strength, thermal stability and durability. The one-piece structure includes an integrated electric field control system, eliminating the need to install additional components for electrical stress management. This solution ensures an even distribution of the electric field along the termination, preventing partial discharges and prolonging the life of the cable.
The terminal is designed for MV polymer cable applications and can cover a wide range of conductor cross-sections due to the flexibility of the insulating material. The installation temperature range of -20°C to +50°C allows use in a variety of environmental conditions. In addition, the terminal exceeds the requirements of CENELEC standard HD 629.1, a guarantee of quality and compliance with European standards.
