Elkron FDTD500 thermal/thermal-velocimeter heat detector, low profile, complete with self-learning circuit and short-circuit isolator.
Thermovelocimeter heat detectors monitor the temperature rise within the area in which they are installed. A microcontroller analyzes and compares the signal it receives from a precision NTC-type temperature sensor, triggering an alarm if the temperature rise exceeds 5°C per minute.

Overview:
The FDTD500 differential thermal detector with microprocessor and short-circuit isolator offers the highest reliability and accuracy for temperature detection. The alarm condition will be triggered when the temperature exceeds the static threshold or when the temperature rise exceeds the A1R class limits. This detector is suitable for use in applications where a high index of temperature rise can be sustained for long periods.
FDTD500 automatically stores, in its nonvolatile memory, the thirty measurements preceding and 30 measurements following an alarm condition. These measurements can be displayed, in graphical or textual form, on the central unit's display. This feature is very important for retrospectively analyzing the condition of the detector before and after the alarm condition has been detected.
The two-color LED, in operating conditions, indicates the detector status while, in service mode, it can be used to display the detector address via a function activated by the control panel.
