The MCX-55ME board can be used with all NOTIFIER addressed control panels with both CLIP (1-99) and Advanced (1-159) protocols. It consists of 5 input modules and 5 output modules with potential-free contact output relays. The dimensions of the board also make it compatible with standard 19 racks of height 6 U.S. Thus, the enclosure is not supplied, which can be selected by the installer from among the many commercially available sizes.
Advantages:
- All modules on the board are powered directly from the 2-wire communication loop with the control panel
- To make wiring, maintenance or eventual replacement quick, removable terminals are provided on the terminals, divided by function
- The board is CPR certified according to EN.54.18
- The module uses 10 consecutive addresses of the 99 available per line, addresses that can be programmed by dip-switch
- Unused inputs or outputs can be excluded
- CPR certified in accordance with EN 54-18
- Power supply 15-30Vdc
- Quiescent current 4mA with LED flashing
- Operating temperature from 0°C to +50°C
- Relative humidity up to 93%
Input modules:
- The input of each module, suitable for detecting the closing of a normally open contact, is provided for either a 2-wire type connection or a 4-wire type loop connection. The 2-wire input connection requires the use of an end-of-line resistor supplied as standard. The external 4-wire loop connection (LOOP) enables alarm detection even if there is an interruption in the loop
Output modules:
- The output of each relay module consists of a potential-free contact with the following characteristics: ? Resistive load = 2 A @ 30 VDC; ? Inductive load = 0.6 A @ 30 Vdc
Operation:
- The board uses 10 consecutive addresses of the control panel. Depending on the control panel to which the module is connected, the value of permissible addresses can be: 01-99 for control panels with CLIP protocol or 01-159 for those with Advanced protocol. The initial address of the board is selectable using Dip-Switch SW-2 and corresponds to the DECLINES of the full address on the Central Unit. The individual internal modules correspond to the UNITS respectively (beginning +0 to +9) Addresses greater than 99 are valid only for control panels with Advanced protocol Note: Since the control panel does not query address 00, with the selection of the address of the first ten, the first module is not recognized
Individual module exclusion:
- Lesclusion of an individual module is achieved by setting the relevant dip-switch SW1 to OFF, this allows the address of the EXCLUDED module to be used for other devices. (in CLIP mode only)
Connection to the central unit:
- The 2-wire line coming from the central unit must be connected to the 4-terminal LOOP terminal block. To facilitate relaying to other devices, terminals 1-2 and 3-4 are connected together
Features:
- Dimensions: The board has dimensions suitable for a standard 19 rack 6 U.S. height 233 mm x 70 mm, including terminal block
- Mounting hole spacing: 218 mm x 37.5 mm
- Operating temperature: 0/49 °C
- Relative humidity: 0 ? 93 % (without condensation)
- Power supply: directly from the line addressed by the Central Unit
