The Uniks C128 current clamp allows the Uniks C128 current clamp to measure the Starting Inrush Currents of motors via the InRush function.
The inrush value will be calculated over 100ms and could be as much as 8/10 times the value at steady-state current. In addition, the VloZ function will allow you to measure Voltage with low input impedance so that you can check whether the measured voltage is a GHOST VOLTAGE or a real voltage.
The GHOST VOLTAGE Voltage is nothing more than the capacitive coupling between the line in question and another line. The line in question being upstream disconnected and being placed close to the other live line the latter through coupling could induce a voltage on the line and because of the high impedance of our multimeter we would risk reading it.
The VloZ position therefore low impedance would charge the disconnected line bringing it to 0V potential as it really should be.
