This high-performance switch features non-blocking switching capacity, and switching speeds of up to 5.6Gbps. All PoE RJ45 ports can automatically adjust the maximum connection speed for normal operation, Auto Uplink technology can ensure proper network connection.
The 3000/402 enables simplified wireless access point (AP) and video surveillance installations. Devices away from the power outlet are powered directly from the switch. PoE eliminates the need to connect these devices to the power outlet. So it makes installation more flexible by preferring it for all those devices to be connected where the AC outlet is far away.
It is an ideal choice for those who wish to set up a small commercial network or a home network using IP-based surveillance cameras.
If the EXTEND dip-switch is ON then the switch allows connection and power to devices (cameras) connected to Poe ports up to a distance of 250m. In addition, the device if selected in EXTEND does not do packet routing between PoE ports so as to speed up routing to and from Uplink ports; in this case an NVR needs to be connected only to Uplink ports in order to see cameras connected on PoE ports.
