Gebo Malleable Iron Threaded Cross pipe fitting 1 1/2 180-8G

GEBO threaded fittings comply with UNI EN 10242 drawing symbol A, which specifies the characteristics of threaded malleable cast iron fittings. As the mentioned standard prescribes, GEBO malleable cast iron threaded fittings are suitable for the transport of compressed air, water, combustible gases, hydrocarbons and others, under the specified pressure and temperature limits.

 

Applications:

• Minimum service temperature: 20 °C, 25 bar
• Working pressure for temperatures between 20 °C and 120 °C: 25 bar
• Working pressure for temperatures between 120 °C and 300 °C: 20 - 25 bar
  
   

GEBO threaded fittings are made of malleable cast iron and designed according to the drawing symbol specified in EN 10242 as A, the quality grade of which is known as EN-GJMB-350-10.

 

This implies that the following results are obtained in mechanical tests on 12 mm diameter specimens:

• Tensile strength (minimum value) 350N/ mm2 (35 Kg/mm2)
• Yield strength 0.2 % (minimum value) 200 N/mm2 (20 Kg/mm2)
• Elongation (minimum value) 10 %
• Brinell hardness (maximum value) 150 HB
  
  
   

In order to ensure that there are no defects in the material that could cause leakage, the tightness of each GEBO fitting has been tested in accordance with the requirements of DIN EN 10242.

 

Galvanizing: GEBO threaded fittings are galvanized by immersion in a molten zinc bath, according to DIN EN 10242. The zinc coating is more than 500 g/m2, thus minimum average thickness of 70 microns. The thickness of the zinc layer and its adherence with the base surface guarantees our malleable cast iron fittings perfect corrosion protection over time.

 

Cleaning and Oiling: To remove residual iron shavings, oil, cutting and dirt collected during the mechanization process, GEBO fittings are cleaned and finally provided with corrosion protection.
