The Tecnogas bidirectional filter drier is designed for the protection of refrigeration and air conditioning circuits, particularly for heat pump systems that require flow in both directions. With its 100% molecular sieve internal cartridge, it ensures efficient removal of moisture and acids, prolonging component life and ensuring proper system operation.
The filter housing is made of high-strength nickel-plated steel, which ensures high durability and protection against corrosion, even in harsh environments. Tested to withstand up to 500 hours in salt spray, the filter is also suitable for systems installed in outdoor settings or subject to aggressive environmental conditions.
The filter has 3/8-inch SAE male-to-male threaded connections that are compatible with major refrigeration lines and HVAC-R components. This configuration facilitates installation and replacement in new or existing systems, with maximum compatibility with valves, piping and service units.
The heart of the filter is a solid cartridge made entirely of molecular sieve, which provides superior dewatering capacity compared to mixed filters. This makes it ideal for applications requiring maximum refrigerant purity and absence of moisture, preventing freezing and internal corrosion.
Due to its bidirectional functionality, the filter is particularly suitable for heat pump systems, where the refrigerant cycle can reverse. Filtering efficiency is guaranteed in both directions of flow, with no need for bypass valves or double installations.
