The Vepal twilight switch by Vemer is a device designed to automatically activate electrical loads (e.g., lamps) when ambient light falls below a preset threshold. This type of equipment is essential for optimizing energy consumption, avoiding waste, and ensuring lighting operates only when necessary, for example, for street lighting, gardens, parking lots, or signs.

The Vepal model is designed for quick and secure installation on both walls and poles, thanks to the mounting bracket provided. This versatility makes it suitable for various contexts, both in civil and industrial environments.

Adjustable or fixed light sensitivity

Depending on the model, the device is available with:

• Adjustable sensitivity from 3 to 70 lux (Vepal version)

• Fixed sensitivity at 10 lux ±2 (Vepal ENEL version)
  
  

The Vepal version allows greater adaptability based on specific environmental conditions. The hysteresis function of ±1 ÷ 10 lux prevents continuous switching on and off in case of variable light.

Safety and durability over time

The outer structure is made of shock-resistant polycarbonate resin, resistant to impacts and weather conditions. The IP54 protection rating makes it perfect for outdoor installations, ensuring protection against dust and water splashes. It can operate without problems in a wide temperature range, from 0°C to +50°C, and is suitable for environments with humidity up to 90%.

Compatibility with electrical loads

The Vepal twilight switch is compatible with:

• Incandescent lamps: up to 800 W
