Auxiliary contacts are secondary switching devices which operate in conjunction with primary switching equipment such as circuit breakers, relays and contactors. These contacts are physically connected to the main switching mechanism and are activated simultaneously.
What are they used for? Auxiliary contacts are used for various functions, e.g. self-holding, enabling/disabling, signalling, interlocking.
The switch with electronic release (also called current-launching coil) is a switch that is opened, in the event of a fault, by an electromechanical actuator (opening solenoid) activated by an electronic device capable of processing a signal proportional to the current that passes through the power contacts.
