The Comelit 1440A floor shunt is an Ethernet switch designed to route data packets within IP video door phone systems based on Comelit's ViP technology. This device ensures stable and reliable communication between system devices, even on complex installations.
Comelit's innovative proprietary PoE system allows the 1440A not only to power connected devices, but also to power multiple outlets in a cascade configuration. This allows connection distances to be extended beyond the limits of traditional PoE standards, optimizing signal distribution and system design.
The shunt is designed for DIN-rail installation (4 modules), facilitating integration within standard electrical panels. The compact size and neat arrangement of Ethernet ports make it practical to use even in limited spaces.
Each Ethernet port on the 1440A tap automatically negotiates the connection speed based on the connected device, optimizing network performance and ensuring maximum compatibility between components.
