The pure earth leakage circuit breaker is used to protect people and not systems. When a person touches it, it creates a circuit with the earth. The current instead of remaining in the domestic circuit, uses the human body to go to earth.
The residual current circuit breaker, also called circuit breaker, is a device in your electrical system. It is able to open the circuit, i.e. to interrupt the supply of energy, when the current is accidentally lost.
A pure residual current circuit breaker offers protection in case of current leakage but not in case of overvoltage. For this type of problem, a circuit breaker is required instead.
The residual current circuit breaker type A ensures operation for AC and unidirectional pulsating type currents.
