The device is an actuator with 1 bistable relay sensor with zero crossing function intended for Load Control and/or Automation Management functions.
In load control mode: the actuator will be given a priority indicating the order of disconnection that the F521 load control unit will follow (for example: Priority 1 will be the first load which will be disabled if the threshold is exceeded). The actuator is equipped with a current sensor to measure the consumption of the controlled load, thus allowing to display on the user interfaces the instantaneous consumption and two cumulative consumptions that can be reset at any time by the user. The device also measures the differential current to allow the display of the diagnostics on the user interfaces (this function is available only by connecting the optional external toroid 3523 to the actuator). Using the forcing button it is possible to re-enable the load for 4 hours after a disablement of the control unit.
In automation mode the actuator is able to perform the following functions: all the operating modes that can be configured on the control devices, with the exception of those involving the use of two interlocked relays (shutters).
The following rules are followed in mixed load control and automation mode: The local key has the function of Load Control Management (forcing/forcing end) - if the load is ENABLED or FORCED, the relay status follows the Automation system commands. - if the load is DISABLED from the central load control unit, the relay status does not follow the Automation system commands but can be re-enabled only by a command, ENABLED or FORCED, from the load control management. While the disabling is in progress, the actuator keeps in memory the statuses requested by the Automation commands and at the RE-ENABLE the relay is put in the status foreseen by the last automation command. This function is designed for applications in which the Load Control Management function is implemented with the need to program the loads on an hourly basis by means of automation commands. If, during the DISABLED phase, the relay is switched off due to programming, it will remain off when it is reactivated. The bistable relay allows the load status to be maintained even in the event of a power failure on the SCS bus (and subsequent device reset).
