OPERATION:

Supervision: The supervisory functions of the 4271 motion detector include the following tests:

Ambient temperature within operating range
detector electronics in working order
supply voltage between 9.6 - 14.5Vdc

In case of fault detection:

Red alarm LED flashes
The alarm relay does not close again after an alarm signal; to reactivate it, it is necessary to switch it on again (only if the LED terminal is correctly wired).
Note: the detector does NOT activate an alarm (output and/or siren) in the event of a fault.

Animal Immunity: The 4271 motion detector is designed to allow the presence, in the controlled environment, of small pets (up to 10Kg) without signaling an alarm. The diagram below shows the areas of greatest discrimination between humans and pets. 4271 should be installed so that pets move only in the lightest colored spaces.
